What You’ll Do

Using a clock, virtual calendar, medication management app, or even a handwritten note, set a reminder to take your medication. If using a device, set the reminder to go off every day at the same time. If you’re using a physical reminder, be sure to place it in a spot you frequent each day (such as a sticky note on your bathroom mirror).

How It Helps Schizophrenia

Setting a reminder reduces the mental load of taking medication each day. And taking medication as prescribed — and on time — is one of the best ways to reduce schizophrenia symptoms, so you can live a more stable life.
