Byqlovi (Ophthalmic)
Clobetasol ophthalmic (for the eyes) is a steroid medicine that is used to treat eye pain and inflammation caused by surgery.
Clobetasol ophthalmic may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.

What is the most important information I should know about Byqlovi (Ophthalmic)?
You should not use clobetasol if you are allergic to it, or if you have any type of bacterial, fungal, or viral infection of the eye (including herpes simplex).
Tell your doctor if you have or have ever had:
- viral eye infection (especially herpes simplex);
- glaucoma; or
- cataracts, or cataract surgery.
It is not known if clobetasol ophthalmic will harm an unborn baby. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant.
Ask a doctor if it is safe to breastfeed while using this medicine.
Not approved for use by anyone younger than 18 years old.
Side Effects
What are the side effects of Byqlovi (Ophthalmic)?
Get emergency medical help if you have signs of an allergic reaction: hives, difficult breathing, swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.
Call your doctor at once if you have:
- blurred vision, eye pain, seeing halos around lights;
- slow healing after your eye surgery; or
- signs of eye infection--swelling, redness, itching, severe discomfort, crusting or drainage.
Common side effects may include:
- eye pain or redness, swelling in or around your eyes;
- blurred or hazy vision, or other vision problems;
- eyes being more sensitive to light; or
- seeing flashes of light or "floaters" in your vision.

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
Can I take Byqlovi (Ophthalmic) if I’m pregnant or breastfeeding?
It is not known if clobetasol ophthalmic will harm an unborn baby. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant.

Dosage Guidelines & Tips
How to take Byqlovi (Ophthalmic)?
Use Byqlovi (Ophthalmic) exactly as directed on the label, or as prescribed by your doctor. Do not use in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended.
Follow all directions on your prescription label and read all medication guides or instruction sheets. Use the medicine exactly as directed.
Wash your hands before using eye medication.
Shake the eye drops before each use.
To apply the eye drops: Pull down your lower eyelid to create a small pocket and squeeze a drop into this pocket. Close your eyes for 1 or 2 minutes.
Use only the prescribed number of drops.
Wait at least 5 minutes before using any other eye drops.
Do not touch the dropper tip or place it directly on your eye. A contaminated dropper can infect your eye and lead to serious vision problems.
Do not use contact lenses while applying the eye drops. A preservative in this medicine could permanently stain the lenses. Apply the eye drops at least 15 minutes before inserting your contact lenses
If you use this medicine for longer than 10 days, you may need frequent vision tests to check the pressure inside your eyes.
Call your doctor if your symptoms do not improve after 2 days of treatment.
Do not use this medicine for longer than your doctor has prescribed.
Store at room temperature, in an upright position and tightly closed. Do not freeze.
Use the medicine as soon as you can, but skip the missed dose if it is almost time for your next dose. Do not use two doses at one time.
