Baxfendy (Oral)
Baxdrostat is used together with other blood pressure medicines in adults to treat hypertension (high blood pressure) that is not controlled by other medicines.
Baxdrostat may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.

What is the most important information I should know about Baxfendy (Oral)?
Tell your doctor if you have or have ever had:
- high blood levels of potassium;
- low blood levels of sodium;
- diabetes; or
- kidney disease.
It is not known if baxdrostat will harm an unborn baby. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant.
Ask your doctor if it is safe to breastfeed while using this medicine.
Side Effects
What are the side effects of Baxfendy (Oral)?
Get emergency medical help if you have signs of an allergic reaction: hives, difficult breathing, swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.
Call your doctor at once if you have:
- high blood potassium--nausea, weakness, tingly feeling, chest pain, irregular heartbeats, loss of movement; or
- low blood sodium--headache, confusion, problems with thinking or memory, feeling unsteady.
Common side effects may include:
- high blood levels of potassium.

Do not take potassium supplements or use salt substitutes, unless your doctor has told you to.
Dosage Guidelines & Tips
How to take Baxfendy (Oral)?
Use Baxfendy (Oral) exactly as directed on the label, or as prescribed by your doctor. Do not use in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended.
Follow all directions on your prescription label and read all medication guides or instruction sheets. Use the medicine exactly as directed.
Baxdrostat is usually taken once per day. Follow your doctor's instructions.
You may take baxdrostat with or without food.
Swallow the tablet whole and do not crush, chew, or break it.
You will need frequent blood tests before and during treatment with baxdrostat. Your treatment may be delayed, reduced, or permanently discontinued based on the results.
Do not stop taking baxdrostat unless your healthcare provider tells you to.
Store at room temperature away from moisture and heat.
Keep the tablets in their original container, along with the packet or canister of moisture-absorbing preservative.
Skip the missed dose and use your next dose at the regular time. Do not use two doses at one time.
