Pamela Rafalow Grossman is a writer and editor living in Brooklyn, New York. She focuses on issues related to women's health, from disease risk and screening to emotional self-care and stress reduction, and is especially interested in the challenge of maintaining personal agency while navigating the healthcare system. Her work has been published by outlets including the Village Voice, Time.com, Real Simple, Ms. magazine, and Essence.com. She also coedited an anthology of essays by women who've had cancer, and her writing has been included in three anthologies.
Grossman is a cancer survivor of 13 years and volunteers in the areas of patient advocacy and support. She is an active member of the Young Survival Coalition and the SHARE Cancer Support collective.
