About

Jacqueline LeKachman is a New York–based freelance writer and editor. She also writes service pieces about health and wellness for Women’s Health, The Washington Post, The Guardian, WIRED, Next Avenue, and SUCCESS magazine.

After completing her bachelor's degree at New York University, Jacqueline was a public high school English teacher in New York for several years. She then completed her creative nonfiction master's of fine arts at the New School and her master's in journalism at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY. There, she specialized in health and science reporting. Now, as a health writer, Jacqueline's beats include women's sexual experiences, mental health, relationships, and medical conditions like fibrosing alopecia in a pattern distribution.

Her writing has received acclaim from the Association of Writers & Writing Programs and from the Women's Media Group, which named her as one of their 2025-2026 scholars. In her free time, Jacqueline spends time in nature and tutors high school students.
