Teresa Tam, MD, FACOG

Maria Teresa Tam, MD, FACOG, FACS, is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist and minimally invasive gynecologic surgeon based in Chicago. She is the director of minimally invasive gynecologic surgery and chair of robotic surgery at Prime Healthcare Saint Francis Hospital and an associate professor of obstetrics and gynecology at Rush University Medical Center.

Dr. Tam also serves as an attending surgeon at multiple Chicago-area hospitals and is the founder and owner of All for Women Healthcare, a private practice dedicated to comprehensive women’s health and advanced gynecologic care.

Tam has more than two decades of clinical experience and specializes in minimally invasive and robotic gynecologic surgery, including the treatment of uterine fibroids, endometriosis, abnormal uterine bleeding, pelvic pain, and complex benign gynecologic conditions.

She earned her medical degree from Rosalind Franklin University Chicago Medical School, where she received the dean’s award, and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Saint Joseph Hospital in Chicago. She then pursued fellowship training in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, where she received advanced training in laparoscopic and robotic surgical techniques.

In addition to her clinical work, Tam is actively involved in medical education, research, and national professional organizations. She has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, presented at national and international conferences, and received multiple awards for teaching and clinical excellence. She has been recognized as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor (2023–2026), a Chicago Magazine Top Doctor, and a Master Surgeon of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology by the Surgical Review Corporation. Her practice has also been designated a Center of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology since 2013.
