Nan-Kirsten Forte, MS

With a unique master’s degree in biomedical communications, Nan has been reporting on, writing content for, and creating digital health information resources for both healthcare professionals and consumers for over three decades.

Nan has been a member of the American Medical Writers Association (AMWA), the Association of Medical Illustrators (AMI), the Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ), and the Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI), and spent two terms on the advisory panel for Medicare Education (APME) for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. She also cosigned a landmark Memo of Understanding with the FDA to bring vital drug, food, and wellness products information to consumers through powerful digital channels.

Nan is credited with being instrumental in envisioning, creating, and building the digital health ecosystem, experiences, and brands that would ultimately become the most trusted entities in health information. She has received hundreds of awards and accolades for her groundbreaking articles, video series, special reports, and interactive products that changed the face of digital health. She has been celebrated in 40 Over 40 Women to Watch and was one of the inaugural honorees for the Medical Marketing and Media Pinnacle Award.
