About
Michelle Sabia, MPH, has a passion for women’s health and health equity and has dedicated her career to supporting underserved populations through education, direct service programming, and advocacy. She is certified in public health and received her master’s in public health from George Washington University. She has 15 years of experience in healthcare nonprofits, managing federal payment programs and community health initiatives, and implementing programs that address social determinants of health and women’s health. She has served on two expert panels for congressional briefings on the health status of military women.
Sabia is also a certified medical writer and has been writing patient- and provider-facing education content for over a decade at publications including HealthyWomen, The Bump, and The Medical Care Blog. She has also developed continuing medical education lecture series for healthcare providers.
Michelle’s professional passions bleed into her volunteer work, serving on the board of directors of REPRO Rising Virginia, a nonprofit organization seeking to ensure comprehensive and high-quality reproductive health information and services free of stigma or coercion.
In her free time, she and her husband, son, and daughter enjoy raising backyard chickens, hiking, cooking, and traveling.
