Osteoporosis is a bone disease caused by a decrease in bone mineral density and bone mass or changes in the structure and strength of bone. Typically, osteoporosis doesn’t exhibit symptoms until a bone breaks, so it’s important to prevent the disease and related fractures through diet and other healthy lifestyle factors.
