Mixed Nuts Recalled for Potential Salmonella Contamination
The recall affects deluxe unsalted mixed nuts sold at Wegmans supermarkets in 9 states and Washington, DC. Here’s what to know.

A supplier for Wegmans has recalled store-branded unsalted mixed nuts after routine testing found salmonella in a batch of pistachios, according to an alert from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Mellace Family Brands California recalled the following products:
4 oz tub of Wegmans Deluxe Mixed Nuts Unsalted

11.5 oz bag of Wegmans Deluxe Mixed Nuts Unsalted
- UPC 077890421352
- Lot code: 58171
- Best by: AUG 10, 2026
The recalled nuts from Wegmans were sold at stores in Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Washington, DC. The nuts were available for purchase between November 3 and December 1, 2025.
No illnesses have been reported so far related to this recall.
Customers can return the recalled Wegmans nuts to a store for a full refund.
What Is Salmonella?
Salmonella is a group of bacteria that commonly cause food poisoning. Illness caused by salmonella infection can be serious or even fatal for the very young, very old, and people with compromised immune systems.
Symptoms of Salmonella Infection
Even healthy adults are susceptible to salmonella poisoning. Symptoms typically include:
- Fever
- Diarrhea (which may be bloody)
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Stomach pain
Seek medical care right away if you experience any of the following severe symptoms:
- Persistent diarrhea that lasts for longer than three days
- Blood in your stools
- Fever higher than 102 degrees F
- Continuous vomiting and inability to keep liquids down
- Reduced urine output and dry mouth and throat (which are signs of dehydration)
- Dizziness, especially when standing up
- Severe abdominal pain
