Orlynvah (Oral)
Probenecid and sulopenem etzadroxil is a combination antibiotic that is used in adult women with limited or no alternative oral antibiotic options to treat uncomplicated urinary tract infections.
Probenecid and sulopenem etzadroxil is not indicated for complicated urinary tract infections, infections already treated with intravenous antibiotics, or complicated intra-abdominal infections.
Probenecid and sulopenem etzadroxil may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.

What is the most important information I should know about Orlynvah (Oral)?
You should not use probenecid and sulopenem etzadroxil if you are allergic to it, or if you have:
- an allergy to similar antibiotics such as meropenem, imipenem, cephalexin, cefdinir, amoxicillin, ampicillin, penicillin, and others;
- uric acid kidney stones; or
- a blood cell disorder, such as anemia or low white blood cells.
Some drugs should not be used with probenecid and sulopenem etzadroxil. Your treatment plan may change if you also use ketorolac.
Tell your doctor if you have or have ever had:
- gout;
- diarrhea caused by infection; or
- kidney disease (or if you are on dialysis).
Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Side Effects
What are the side effects of Orlynvah (Oral)?
Get emergency medical help if you have signs of an allergic reaction: hives, difficult breathing, swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.
Call your doctor at once if you have:
- severe stomach pain, diarrhea that is watery or bloody (even if it occurs months after your last dose);
- worsening gout symptoms; or
- signs of a kidney stone--pain in your side or lower back, blood in your urine, painful or difficult urination.
Common side effects may include:
- diarrhea;
- vaginal yeast infection;
- nausea or vomiting; or
- headache.

Ask a doctor or pharmacist before using over-the-counter medicines that may contain nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) such as ibuprofen, naproxen, Advil, Aleve, Motrin, and others.
Dosage Guidelines & Tips
How to take Orlynvah (Oral)?
Use Orlynvah (Oral) exactly as directed on the label, or as prescribed by your doctor. Do not use in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended.
Follow all directions on your prescription label and read all medication guides or instruction sheets. Use the medicine exactly as directed.
Your doctor will perform tests to make sure probenecid and sulopenem etzadroxil is the right treatment for you.
Probenecid and sulopenem etzadroxil is usually taken twice per day for 5 days.
Take with food.
Drink plenty of liquids while you are taking probenecid and sulopenem etzadroxil especially if you are at risk of uric acid kidney stones.
This medicine can affect the results of certain medical tests. Tell any doctor who treats you that you are using probenecid and sulopenem etzadroxil.
Keep using this medicine even if your symptoms quickly improve. Skipping doses could make your infection resistant to medication. Probenecid and sulopenem etzadroxil will not treat a viral infection (flu or a common cold).
Antibiotic medicines can cause diarrhea. Tell your doctor if you have diarrhea that is watery or bloody.
You may be given other medications to help prevent serious side effects. Keep taking these medicines for as long as your doctor has prescribed.
Store at room temperature away from moisture and heat.
Take the medicine as soon as you can. Do not take two doses at one time.
