About

Sydney Wyatt is a health and science writer with over three years of experience in both daily news print and online journalism. She worked as a science reporting fellow for The Transmitter, a neuroscience news website written for a specialist audience. Before that, she spent two years covering healthcare inequities for The Statesman Journal in Salem, Oregon.

Wyatt received her bachelor's degree in neuroscience with a minor in public health from the University of Tennessee and her master's in journalism from Boston University. She spent two years working as a research assistant in a behavioral neuroscience lab.

Outside of work, Wyatt enjoys reading both fiction and nonfiction — especially literary fiction and narrative nonfiction — hiking, live music, and spending time with her two cats and two dogs.
