Kate Beck

Kate Beck is a multidisciplinary professional with a unique background spanning healthcare, education, and literature. She worked as a certified ophthalmic technician for 10 years before transitioning to writing and education. She holds degrees from Rutgers University (double major in art history and journalism/media studies), teaching credentials from Kean University, a master’s degree from Southern New Hampshire University in English literature and creative writing, and a doctorate from Capella University. Her published research focuses on literacy integration in urban visual arts classrooms. She has taught at multiple levels from middle school through college and has published several novels. She began writing for online publications in 2005 and has contributed to USA Today, Livestrong, and numerous other platforms.
