About

Amazin LeThi is a leading LGBTQ advocate, mental health champion, and changemaker, redefining the landscape of sports, health, and inclusion.

Her remarkable journey in fitness began at just 6 years old, when, after being bullied in team athletics as the only Asian kid on her sports team, she turned to weight training to build both strength and self-confidence. By 7, she was already training in the gym. What began as a way to defend herself and build confidence evolved into something deeper when she discovered the power of storytelling — reading about Arnold Schwarzenegger’s journey in Muscle & Fitness magazine. Through his story, she realized that she too could make an impact through sports, and that her own journey as a lifelong athlete could inspire and empower others just as his had inspired her.

As a teenager, Amazin began competing as a natural competitive bodybuilder, setting the foundation for her lifelong career in sports, health, fitness, and mental well-being. Drawing on her own experiences with mental health challenges, she has become a passionate mental health advocate, sharing her journey to inspire others and reduce stigma. She serves as an ambassador for MQ Mental Health Research, championing innovative solutions and awareness for mental health globally.

With over 30 years of experience in the health and fitness industry, Amazin has lived and breathed sports and wellness her entire life. A lifelong athlete who has competed at multiple stages of her career, she is also a certified strength and conditioning coach, boxing-for-fitness coach, yoga and meditation teacher, NLP practitioner/life coach, gym class instructor, and former gym manager. Qualifying as a strength and conditioning coach in her late teens, she has trained a wide range of clients — from the general public seeking better health to elite athletes preparing for the Olympic Games.

Amazin is the first internationally published Vietnamese health and fitness author, having written three books on weight training and contributed extensively as a health and fitness writer. She served as the women’s health and fitness expert for Word Vietnam Magazine, Vietnam’s leading national English-language publication, and as the health and fitness expert for ImaginAsian TV — America’s first national 24-hour Asian American television network.

As a former competitive bodybuilder, Amazin is the only Asian LGBTQ athlete in history to serve as an international sports ambassador, holding over eight ambassador roles worldwide. Her groundbreaking contributions have been recognized by more than 30 global organizations, including GLAAD, the Human Rights Campaign, and the Pride Power List, and she holds the distinguished title of Honorary Citizen of Georgia for her community work. Forbes named her one of the Top Six Asian Women to Watch during Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month.

Recognized as a unique and respected global voice in diversity, equity, and inclusion, Amazin advises Fortune 500 companies, governments, and global organizations, with her advocacy spanning from the White House to The Prince’s Trust. Her extraordinary journey from homelessness as a young adult to global influence speaks to her deep belief in the power of sport, visibility, and mental health advocacy to transform lives and create lasting change.

Amazin played a pivotal role in President Biden’s “Out For Biden” 2020 campaign and “Harris for President” 2024 campaign as a digital adviser for the LGBTQ and Asian campaign committees. In 2024, she shared her sports journey as a guest contributor to V by Florence Schechter, founder of the world’s first Vagina Museum, further cementing her status as a leading global voice for equality and inclusion in sports.

In recent years, Amazin has continued to make history as the first Asian LGBTQ athlete ambassador for Pride House Birmingham Commonwealth Games (2022) and Pride House Paris 2024 Olympics. That same year, she was also named the first Asian LGBTQ sports ambassador for both the Asian Sports Foundation and The Out Foundation. In 2025, she will continue breaking barriers as the first Asian LGBTQ athlete ambassador and special adviser for the Centre for Sport and Human Rights’ “Generation 2026” World Cup campaign, as well as serving as an ambassador for the Vagina Museum, where she is a long-standing board adviser.

Over the years, Amazin has also worked extensively in the entertainment industry across radio, television, and film — both in front of and behind the camera — further showcasing her versatility as a storyteller and creative. Most recently, inspired by her deep passion as a dog owner, animal lover, and advocate, Amazin is applying her extensive background in human health, mental well-being, and fitness to the canine world, bringing a holistic approach that integrates physical health, behavioral insight, and emotional well-being into her journey as a dog trainer.
